The Investec Structured Products Calculus VCT plc
is now closed for investment.
Investec Structured Products Calculus VCT plc is seeking to raise up to £25 million (before expenses) by offering new C Shares for subscription. The aim is to generate a cost effective return using a combination of Venture Capital investments and Structured Products using a disciplined investment strategy to diversify your portfolio. The portfolio offers a pre-determined selection of risk profiles and diversified counterparties.
VCTs are designed to encourage investment into early-stage or start-up companies and offer investors certain income and capital gains tax reliefs providing such holdings are held for at least 5 years and the VCT's tax status is maintained. Investment of this nature involves a higher degree of risk than investment in companies listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange. These companies may not perform as hoped and your capital will be at risk.
Investec Structured Products Calculus VCT plc is managed by two award winning managers:
Investec Structured Products
The Structured Products portfolio is being managed by Investec Structured Products, who have been recognised as a leading provider of Structured Products in the UK market.
Calculus Capital
The Venture Capital investments are being managed by Calculus Capital, who have been established since 1999 and have been pioneers in venture capital investing over the last decade. Calculus Capital has launched and closed for subscription nine EIS funds and three VCT issues.
Offer period: The offer opened on 7 January 2011 and will close 12 noon 30 April 2011.
