31 August 2010
Investec Structured Products (‘Investec’), the award winning provider, announces the launch of its latest collection of Plans. The full collection of Plans is available until 1 October 2010.
With interest rates continuing to remain at record lows, it continues to be difficult for investors to find attractive returns. Notwithstanding this, Investec's 20th issue of structured retail products offers a variety of choices for investors who look to achieve yields, across a range of risk profiles.
New to Investec’s collection is the ‘range’ Kick-Out as Option 2 on the FTSE 100 Kick-Out Deposit Plan 15. As well as early redemptions offering 5.25% annually where the FTSE 100 from year 2 is greater than its starting level, Option 2 is dependent on the FTSE 100 remaining within a range of plus or minus 20% of its starting level. Investec expects continued strong demand for this deposit Plan from clients looking for competitive returns compared to cash savings accounts. The FTSE 100 Enhanced Kick-Out Plan 15 now has Santander UK added as an additional asset provider offering clients the continued ability to diversify counterparties. Potential annual returns remain at 12% per annum (Investec Version) and 10.25% per annum (Santander UK Version) for launch 20 again with 50% soft protection on initial capital.
Income Plans
The FTSE 100 Bonus Income Plan 10 offers competitive income with base payments of 6.5% for the annual option with 50% soft protection on initial capital. The alternative income Plan is the FTSE 100 Income Deposit Plan 13.
Gary Dale, Head of Intermediary Sales, Investec Structured Products said, "The pricing environment for Structured Products remains challenging especially around income plans which continue to be in high demand. We are continuing to offer two income plans, giving clients a choice of income payments and risk profile. The FTSE 100 Income Deposit Plan is structured as a deposit so capital is fully protected and also covered by the FSCS (subject to eligibility), and the Bonus Income Plan is structured as an investment offering higher annual payments but with 50% soft protection on the capital throughout the 5 year term."
"Kick-out plans across the market continue to be in high demand which is one of the reasons we are continuing to offer two versions, one deposit and one investment. As well as the obvious tax differences clients can choose between full capital protection on the Kick-Out Deposit and 50% soft protection on the Enhanced Kick-Out which continues with 12% pa for launch 20. We are now able to offer our EKO Plan with Santander UK as an additional asset provider with 10.25% pa which further enhances our message around counterparty diversification. Over the past few months we have had large volumes of early maturing kick-outs, so it is important to offer clients an appropriate choice."
